Overview
Registered Nurse – School Nurse travel assignment in Montpelier, Vermont. This temporary position begins 10/12/2026 and runs for an undetermined number of weeks, with a guaranteed 14 hours per week. The role offers a weekly pay range of $700-$759 and a Monday and Friday shift from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST, with adjustments on days when school is closed. You will work in a school setting serving students across elementary through high school levels.

Responsibilities
- Provide basic first aid and emergency response for students during school hours.
- Administer prescribed medications per school policy; document administration accurately.
- Assess and triage student health concerns; coordinate with families and school staff as needed.
- Maintain confidential health records and ensure compliance with privacy and school policies.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement care plans for students with health needs.
- Promote student wellness and participate in health education and preventive health activities.

Requirements
- Current, active Registered Nurse license (state-specific licensure required for practice; ability to obtain school nurse credentials as required by state/policy)
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Ability to work in a school-based setting and follow school policies, privacy, and confidentiality requirements
- Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain as required
- Prior experience in pediatric care, school health, or related settings is advantageous
- Ability to pass background checks and credentialing as required by the assignment
